new spectacles (2nd entry for May 01, 2006)
Tonight, at about 6pm, Mama asked us if we would like to come with them to SM. Papa will exchange our old lights for new ones. Mama told me to come so we could canvass new eye glasses because mine is broken and can no longer be fixed. And even if it can be fixed with Mighty Bond or glue gun, it would only be for temporary. So I hurriedly changed my clothes and soon were off. Upon arriving, we went first to the lights shop. Afterwards while Papa bought 2 sets of poker chips and a pack of cards, I bought myself a DMC thread for my cross stitch piece. Then, Mama and I checked on the glasses. After some time, I finally chose to buy the cheapest. That was originally for Php 4,800.00 but since it has a 50% discount, we got it for Php 2,400.00. That was excluding the lenses. We decided to use my old multi-coated lenses since it can still be of use and it would be expensive to buy another. After purchasing, we went to the department store. I suppose Papa envied my new specs. hehe~ because he also got himself a Dickies shades while Mama went off to buy a blender. hahaha..
